Katherine Darci, MD, CLC

Caring for infants in their early life is my passion; supporting the parents as well as involving the family are key components to ensure everyone thrives.

I am a board-certified pediatrician, graduated from Tufts Medical School in 2004, and completed residency in pediatrics at Mass General Hospital for Children. When I was chief resident, I started to focus my career in Newborn Medicine and Neonatology. Throughout the past twenty years I have worked at both Mass General Hospital as well as Brigham & Women’s Hospital, attending deliveries, caring for healthy, sick, and premature newborns, as well as their families, and I absolutely love it! I have always been focused on fostering connection with families and empowering parents in their roles.

When I became a mother, I thought my medical knowledge of newborns would ensure a seamless transition to motherhood. How wrong I was! While medicine and motherhood have many overlaps, there are gaps in the support of mother/parents as they transition into parenthood. My goal is to fill those gaps. I am passionate about this niche and wish there had been services like these when my children were infants.

A family-centered perspective

I believe the best way to ensure infants have the healthiest start in life is to provide the best medical care to them as well as support the parents and families who care for them.
